Elder,
Margarita Nunes
Abuela (grandmother) Margarita Nunes needs no introduction. A woman of change and tradition, she is called to travel the world to share her wisdom. She has touched thousands of people with her wisdom, her joy and her unconditional love. A wise, ageless woman, whose eyes shine and whose smile radiates, she has shared with us in great simplicity, helping us to remember our ancestral traditions and the meaning of things. She will help us again reflect on what we are and why we are here.
During the Harvest Festival, she will explain to us various rites of passage that are linked to the medicine wheel. From the Placenta rite to that of the 7 year-old, the rite of adolescence at 13, the rite of adulthood at 26, the rite of 39 and the family, and the rite of 52 which prepares us to share our knowledge with the younger generation before we begin anew within the second cycle of the medicine wheel. These discussions and some of these ceremonies will take place within the context of the Harvest Festival. Consult the program for further details.
