The great Wakefield Harvest Festival is coming!
Keeping with tradition we once again  welcome artisans and farmers
from Wakefield and the surrounding Outaouais region.

 POSTER             BROCHURE             PROGRAM

Wakefield, September 15, 2008 - The 6th annual Wakefield Harvest Festival will be held September 27 and 28 in Wakefield under the theme  “The Earth, My Roots.” Artists and artisans will demonstrate their knowledge and creations in the charming and friendly atmosphere of Wakefield. Come and walk along the river and be entranced by native drumming and traditional singing. Come and meet cultures which together celebrate  the abundance of the Earth at this time of harvest.

The Wakefield Harvest Festival is a wonderful way for the entire family to discover the wealth that the Earth has to offer. This event is ideal for those wishing to familiarize themselves with native culture (songs, drums, dances and ceremonies) which commemorates this harvest season. Come and celebrate the culinary delights found in our beautiful region. Many types of organic foods offered by farmers and producers including lamb, boar, et bison await you on September 27 and 28.  Admission is free.

Storytelling, games and children’s workshops will be offered throughout the weekend and on Sunday evening a great feast of regional dishes will honor the end of the festival. Tickets for this gastronomical repast are already on sale in many Wakefield stores.
